My beautiful wife Veni, likes to say that I wear many hats. I am going to use that metaphor to tell you about myself as best I can.
The Husband
This hat represents a caretaker. It's the one that helps to dev, makes soup when the wife is sick, puts on the radio when the other music is bad, kisses and goes to work, sometimes makes dinner, makes sure the car has gas, cleans the gutters, and always fixes the computer.
The Daddy
This hat is the root of affection. It is the part that breathes deep the smiles and the laughter, the snuggles and the cuddles. In most cases it is the most fun of the hats, with all the wonder and joy that my amazing baby girl brings into my life. It is also the part that pulls her into my lap when she is cold, lonely, sad, afraid, or even just tired.
The Guardian
The most primal of all the hats, where the wolf dwells. It is the part that places those it loves above all else, fiercely loyal, to the point of fault. The guardian is ever vigilant, identifying threats, negating fears, taking hits, and crushing enemies when necessary. God help those who seek to harm those it deems family.
The Friend
The friend is seemingly the simplest of all the hats, but in reality is probably the most complex. The friend is a hat of understanding, love, and trust. It tells the truth, even when it's difficult. It stays calm and guides. It helps to hide the body. The friend is both rational and crazy. It takes no sides while taking them all.
